Allowed And Disallowed Techniques

I thought it would be good to get somethings clarified before the start of the next competition.

Of the following what is allowed and what is disallowed?

1. Buying links?
2. Teams?
3. The link we must have on our entrant page can it point to http://www.busbywebsolutions.com or http://worldcup.busbywebsolutions.com/i ... oworldcup2
4. Can we nofollow that link?
5. Are last competition's winners eligible to win this new challenge?

If anyone else has any questions about SEO techniques post them and we'll see if Busby can get them answered as well.

@seosean, how can you prove if someone is buying links or they are team? What if someone buy links for that competitor just for the purpose to disqualify them, how can you avoid that? Is buying links to link build is not part of SEO? Is asking someone to build links for your or submit article or links to directory not allowed in SEO?

i will suggest for this seo challenge only newly created website are allowed to be register.

@inspiration, it is a good suggestion because it will ensure that everybody will start from scratch and it will be fair for everyone. But the problem with that is it will limit the number of participants since only few can afford to register new domains and they maybe hesitant to use free hosting site to participate to this kind of competition.

Re point 1) Bleuken is on the money, and this is actually the reason why we are allowing it - whereas in an ideal situation we would be able to not have it, it is extremely hard for us to police

Re new websites - we actually wanted to do this for both competitions, we even thought about not allowing blogging. However again Bleuken is on the money in his response. We are trying to create an inclusive competition for all to enjoy, rather than the purest SEO competition out there.

I see there is different results between those keyword, please make sure which keyword really used. and make sure its will not be problem on final.
